The Snowman Trek is an epic extension of the Laya Gasa Trek, taking adventurous trekkers deep into the remote Lunana region and toward Gangkhar Puensum, Bhutan’s highest peak, before descending to Bumthang or Sephu. This trek passes through some of Bhutan’s most isolated landscapes, crossing multiple high mountain passes and camping above 5,000 meters, often on snow. Rated by Lonely Planet as one of the toughest treks in the world, it is best attempted in summer, when the passes are clear and alpine meadows bloom. While high altitude and snow-blocked passes challenge many, those who complete it are rewarded with stunning Himalayan vistas, pristine wilderness, and the rare chance to visit one of the most beautiful natural hot springs in the Himalayas. The Snowman Trek is not just a journey it is a test of endurance, spirit, and the ultimate adventure of a lifetime
