SPRING (MARCH TO JUNE)

Spring marks the beginning of Bhutan’s main travel season. As the weather becomes clear and pleasant, the hills and forests come alive with the blooming rhododendrons, offering breathtaking views and vibrant landscapes. This is also the season of many sacred festivals called Tshechus, where monks and laypeople perform sacred mask dances, celebrating Bhutanese history and Buddhist teachings. One highlight of this season is the Rhododendron Festival, held in places like Lamperi Botanical Garden, showcasing the colorful bloom of Bhutan’s national flower. Travelers visiting in spring will enjoy lush greenery, serene weather, and an atmosphere filled with spirituality and celebration.
